Castle Rock was established in 1998, and since then capacity has steadily increased with the largest expansion taking place 2010 when additional brewing equipment was installed in the neighbouring building giving a total capacity of 300 barrels a week. Castle Rock brewery provides many ales to try from which have been available in the Five Lamps recently from Harvest Pale, Elsie Mo. Each to their own unique and a satisfying good taste.
Latest News: Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has thanked Castle Rock for producing a brand new beer to support its work in Trent Vale - the latest in their series of beers named after nature reserves cared for by the wildlife charity.
Red Riding Hood - A reddish brown ale with a fresh hop and soft stone fruit aroma. Subtle bitterness, and toasted malt flavours with hints of fruit.
Sherwood Reserve - Black in colour with a coffee and chocolate aroma. A rich, roast malt and smooth taste to the mouth. Very bitter in flavour and hints of sweetness.
Harvest Pale - Harvest Pale is brewed with a gently-kilned malt, and an aromatic blend of American hops added during the brewing process gives this beer exceptional poise. Its distinct hop flavour leads to a crisp finish.
Elsie Mo - Golden glow pale in colour ale, with a mellow, smooth and soft flavour too the mouth. The aroma brings a hoppy, floral, and citrus taste to the nose.
